Is it free to fax with windows xp? ( I already have the software)?

The software of course is free of charge to use. You have to have a modem hooked up to your machine so that windows XP has a device to use.

As long as your calls are local calls you would not incur a cost. The same rules apply to making calls as they would if you made a voice call.

I'm not familiar with their software, but if it uses your phone line to send the fax, any long distance number you dial will get long distance charges. Unless you have free long distance!
