Which one do you like better Harry Potter or Twilight?

I've been a Harry Potter fan for over half of my life. My childhood memories are filled with Harry Potter. I think that because of that, no matter how great a series is, Harry Potter will always somehow be better in my mind. It's just so close to me.

I don't like the Twilight Series for various reasons, but even when I thought that the series was great(which I did at one point), I would pick Harry Potter, hands down. I think if I started discussing why that is, it would turn into an essay so the short of it is that Harry Potter has more substance than Twilight.

If I was stuck on a deserted island, and I could only pick between the Twilight Series and the Harry Potter Series to read for the rest of my life, I would pick Harry Potter. AND if I could only pick between Harry or Edward to keep me company, I would pick Harry.

First of all, I think this debate is too drawn out and should end already but, here we go. TWILIGHT FANS I ENCOURAGE YOU TO NOT READ THIS POST YOU WILL FIND IT HIGHLY OFFENSIVE!

Harry Potter is so much better and I hate when the two novels are compared. I tried reading Twilight and found it to be a bad impersonation of Jo Rowling's magnificent work. The book has almost no plot and Bella was poorly designed as a character. If you read even a few pages of the book you'll know that Bella has almost no personality whatsoever. As for Edward sparkling in the sun? Vampires don't sparkle in the sun. They die. Brahm Stoker taught us that with Dracula. I think that the Twilight publishers saw something that seemed very similar to Harry Potter at a time when Harry Potter was closing out his saga and wanted to make a buck. So, they published Twilight. It was marketed to the Harry Potter fans and conveniently came out right as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out. This is not a coincidence! The publishers chose this date for a very important reason. They wanted to catch Harry Potter fans who had nothing else to read. I'm sorry this was so long but, this is something I feel very strongly about.

Harry Potter rules the world!!!!!!.Harry has a of lot of adventure but Twilight doesn't. I have read all 4 series of Twilight and it is fantastic but never will beat Harry Potter!!!!!!!!!!!

theres a freaking adult version of it, its so popular with the adults

and its so much more meaningful and mature and deep

the only reason people say twilight is more of an adults book is because of some inappropriate scenes in breaking dawn, which are so badly written

Ive read both and im more obsessed with twilight but i like harry potter better. jkr is a better writer and has a better imagination. Ive been to two harry potter conventions and im going to see the midnight showing this summer with my friend. But im also going to go to twicon, a twilight convention in texas, as well. Harry Potter is better.

Harry Potter makes me fall asleep I hate Harry Potter. I like the romance in Twilight but I hate things about Twilight too. So I'd have to say I hate Twilight less.

Harry Potter,

1) It's one of the best books of an actual Guy's Point of View!

There's not a lot of good books out there with a guy's point of view that doesn't bore both genders.

2) It has way more imagination then "Twilight"

Yea, Twilight has werewolves, vamps, and all that but HP has

wizards, spells, giants, romance, wands, and more than 1 plot too.

3) The authors,

Stephenie Meyer, I think is kinda snotty, in one interview, this person asked how she felt about being called the "New J.K Rowling"

She replied, My kind of writing is different, i wouldn't call it J.K Rowling; it has its own style that catches reader's eyes.

I mean If I was her, i'd add that it's an HONOR to be called J.K Rowling of the time!

Other than that, yea, I kinda both like each series but H.P more.

(It's not like I hate Twilight series though, I own all four.)

It has (in my opinion) a much more complex plot and WAY more characters and I just love it. <3
