Yu-Gi-Oh! Assault monsters. Just for fun. Your opinions.?
Just have time to spend and i wanted to hear your opinions on these new guys. They rule? They suck? What do you think?

At my local play area all people think they suck, still EVERYONE got beat by a guy that would play an assault mode deck. I wasn't there myself to see his deck-list but i was told he had a machine deck basically. Now to find myself defeated i wouldn't find it strange. But a bunch of guys with lightsworn, gladiators zombies, dad ecc... that would be strange (not that we have any duelists worthy to be mentioned however).
Anyway, just tell us your part of the story if you feel like it.

I take it you wanted to talk about the buster mode...
Let's see... Stardust Buster mode set aside they are nothing special. You must base your deck on syncro only and hope well. Machine decks rock for this, since there are a lot of draw and protect machine cards that make it easy to play syncro (Cyber Phoenix, card trooper, Tuning Supporter, Cyber Valley, Quillbolt Hedgehog ecc), yet a simple skill drain would ruin such a deck since it lacks in raw power.
As for Stardust Buster Mode... Well we all know what happens when the glad. beasts get Heraklinos on the field. Stardust Buster mode is even better. If you also manage to get 2 or 3 of them on the field, the game is yours. For all the rest of them however i doupt there is much of a point in their being played, or for the least i can't see it. Mass summoning or mass destruction... there are cards easier to play with the same effects. Actually their main problem for now are the new banlists. If not, the elemental hero that has still some good search-ability could play it nice for a couple like colossal warrior (use your reinforcements of the army for Rose 4* tuner, and E-Emergency for the rest of your warriors and here comes Colossal warrior).
The trap is not bad either since you can play it in response to enemie's effects like Brain Control, to summon a stronger monster and escape the negative effect. Hopefully a better assistance could come out for them and they get even better.
Overal i wouldn't go to a MUST WIN duel witha buster mode deck, but i am quite sadisfied with the way my buster deck worked till now.

Wow, they're hecka powerful, it's juz a lil hard to summon, unless you got arcane apprentice. Others than that, it can beat the **** outta you.
