If you had a choice of bringing one thing with you for a 30 day stay on a deserted island what would it be?

Now keep in mind you will have the clothes on your back, the shoes your wearing. And there will be a source of water on island available.Food and shelter you will have to figure that out for yourself.

Update:

Also there is no electricity or wi fi connection. so laptops, cell phones, and ipods will be of no use
