Why do people get mad or annoyed when you refuse to think your good at something?

because i know that im not that good at music and stuff...

and why would i "fish" for compliments for something i know im not good at?? aghh...

    Same reason why you probably get mad or annoyed when they refuse to accept you're not good at something. They feel you're not listening to them, for one thing, like their opinion is irrelevant or like you think they're a liar. Also, a lot of people rank confidence of utmost importance, and so they can't stand a lack of it in others when they perceive it. People nowadays tend to go overboard in just assuming someone has self-esteem issues, even when someone really is making an accurate assessment, knows better or is just telling it like it is.

    Maybe you are good at it and it's frustrating to see low-esteem. Or maybe they think you're fishing for compliments.
