how do you gain weight?
i lost 13 pounds on accident i want to gain it back so i can be 120. any suggestions?

I know this is kind of long, but here are some good tips to help you gain healthy weight:
Add foods like.......
- nuts, seeds, and peanut butter
-avocado
-lean meat (chicken, fish, beef etc)
-bananas (highest calorie fruit)
-dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots, etc.)
-whole milk
-yogurts/cottage cheese with higher milkfats (2% or whole)
-oils (especially olive oil)
-ice cream
-carbohydrates (rice, potatoes, breads, pastas)
I suggest spreading your calories out into 5-6 smaller meals rather than 3 big ones. This will help you feel more energized! Make sure you are eating something every 2-3 hours.
Also, here are a few tips to help you add more calories in at mealtimes:
- drinking fruit juice or milk instead of water is an easy way to add calories to any diet
-swap low fat milk for whole
-When having salads, be sure to load it up! Add some cheese, hard-boiled egg, beans, sliced almonds, dressing, and of course plenty of veggies!
-cook veggies in olive oil or margarine
- Add a slice of toast/bread to every meal
If you find it hard to eat more, it may be easier to drink your calories. They sell Boost and Ensure Plus drinks at most supermarkets. Each 8floz bottle has about 350 calories, and plenty of nutrients, plus they come in yummy flavors! If you drink 2-3 of these a day in addition to regular meals/snacks, you will gain healthy weight fairly quickly. You could also get Carnation Instant breakfast packets and add those to some milk and drink one with every meal or as quick snacks in between meals. You could even make your own healthy smoothie with these by adding some fresh fruit and yogurt and blending it all together.
You could also begin weight training if you wish. Gaining muscle weight is better than gaining fat, plus it will help fill you out and give you the look you want. And all you really need is to devote less than an hour maybe three or four times a week. It might be difficult to fit it into your schedule at first, but it will eventually become a part of your routine.
