Christian have you ever done this?
I was just in; Family & Relationships > Friends > Open Question
and some dude was talking about how there are guys who call him down, what should he do?
So I said; Dude I always just pray, Jesus can you stop this, and even before I finish praying peace has started to come into what ever problem there was.
Do other Christians ever talk about Jesus, in categories, other than R&S if it seems appropriate?
I just saw a girl give a very polite answer about meditating to the God who created you, for a self help type of Question.
Here is how she said it:
respect yourself
listen to your body
meditate daily to develop strong relationship with god who made u
forgive yourself
be kind to yourself by not taking nonveg diet
I gave her a thumbs up, you can see my answer there was a lot different.

I guess I never really considered it. You bring up a good point, though. I never really go looking for opportunities like that, but it could be a huge change for someone.
I suppose in my case it's because I've always been kind of a quiet and shy guy, so I get scared out of my mind about what the replies might be, and the inevitable flaming and rudeness that comes with the internet by default. I really should answer more practical questions like that, though. I feel bad for not doing it now.
It almost feels kind of "safe" here, because you know that for better or for worse, people are at least going to listen. Sharing wisdom with those seeking it is a very satisfying thing, just like Proverbs said, because those who seek wisdom will love you when you rebuke them. Whereas it's rather scary "out there," because there is so much bitterness and lack of wisdom.
Thanks for bringing the question up, though. I realize now that I've been cowardly, and I will look to bring Jesus into more practical discussions as well on this site from now on.

We ought to. I see no reason not to. We believe He is God, we believe He stands at the center of history, and we believe that He provides the answers and guidance which everyone desparately needs. It really wouldn't make sense for us NOT to mention him in other categories.
