Is Pioneer Elite worth the $?

Pioneers USED to be worth the couple thousand dollars more, but recently Panasonic's G10 and X series Plasma's are just as good! Maybe the only difference would be the menu options or connectivity!

Honestly, you probably wouldn't notice a difference between the Panasonic & Pioneer Plasma's now! And FYI...the new Panasonic G10 & X series' TV's are way more energy efficient then Pioneer!

I'd go with the Panasonic and save the extra $$$ for something else...like a new Home Theater system or something?!

For several years - the Kuro has been declared the absolute best HDTV picture of any TV by several magazines.

But Pioneer is discontinuing the plasma lines and Panasonic has been in second or third place and trying hard to catch up.

Get the Panasonic and use the savings to get an ISF Calibrationist to come in and calibrate your new TV.

Your question is a value judgement that no one other than you can answer. Yeah, the Kuro is the best picture out there but is it worth the money.

Who knows. I guess it would depend on how much you have.
