It's nothing to do with which program you use, it's what you download with it that's the problem. If you use torrents, however, you can use a torrent search site like btjunkie.org which has comments on torrents you can read to determine if they're safe.

All P2P programs are the same, including uTorrent. For some reason, people think that isn't a P2P program, but it is. You're downloading through the programs to an unknown person's personal computer. That's about the riskiest thing you could do.
