how do i download audacity plugins?
i have no idea what i'm doing. i downloaded audacity from here http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows
i'm trying to remove vocals but when i go to the toolbar nothing is clickable. when i click effects everything is faded. what do i do to make it work?

you have to highlight the section of audio that you are trying to take the vocals out before you can use the effects. If you didn’t have a part of the audio highlighted then it will cause the effects to not show or show faded.
Also if you don’t already know to export a recoding as mp3 (basically save it as an mp3) you need to have Lame MP3 Encoder plugging installed for audacity. If you don’t know how to do that you can go to my website and watch my video tutorial on how to install that.

I think getting puglins had something to do with pasting the plugins into the audactiy folder
