Rainbird Pop Up Sprinkler stopped rotating?

I have rainbird pop up sprinklers. Not sure which model. I think the 5000 series, but not sure. Every year I end up with one or two that just stop rotating on their own. This one in particular worked fine until about a week ago. I can rotate it by hand easily.

How can I fix this without replacing the whole sprinkler? They are like $20 each and I would like to know how to just fix them.

Simply take the ones not rotating and spray with a silicone based lube/spray..spray inside the head and all..as well as any moving parts..minerals from the water itself can lodge in the jets thus not creating the proper pressure to turn them even though they turn freely with your hand..do not use wd 40 it will eat parts of the rubber and plastic such as o rings etcetera up...silicone spray lube will do the trick
