How can I go about finding out why, or even if my disabled husband will receive his stimulas check?
We received a letter saying don't do anything the 250.00 check would be here in May , if not call June 4. The check never arrived and when he called, the SS office they said oh, there wasn't one issued, it will take 8 weeks to find out why. I asked her when I could call and check the status, she replied in 8 weeks. We LIVE on 755.00 a month disability and that is our only income, how can they be so callous over a simple 250.00 check? Wher else can I go for information if the local office is being so vague?

If SSA said they did not issue a check, they did not issue a check. They have to go through a procedure to determine why you were not issued a check - it takes 8 weeks. So they are not being callous - they are following a procedure.
It is not a simple $250.00 check otherwise it would not be so important to you.

If a person owes any type of back pay to the IRS or other government agencies....the stimulus check won't get issued.
Have you checked the SSA.GOV website yet?
There is a section titled "FAQ" (Frequently Asked Questions)...click onto it & you will find this same info posted on their website!
* If there is a chance that you have been a victim of identity theft...then an investigation must be completed & you will need to go into the local office to prove that you are the real you!
