Teenage Weightloss Help?
ok,I have a short athletic build but I have all my life been on the chubby side. I'm sick of being the big one or the "big boned" one! I have tried countless ways to lose weight and I just CAN'T it just seems to fluctuate between the same numbers no matter what I do. I have been to several dietitions, had my metabolism and thyroid checked, and even done studies to see if things were just off but to no avail. No diets are helping and except for with a stomache bug I haven't been able to lose more than 8 pounds over months of dieting and I just wonder what I should do. I'm involved in sports and athletic programs so it's not an excersise issue. And please don't tell me I'm fine the way I am I would really like to lose some and be an average weight. I just want for once in my life someone to ask the question "How much weight have you lost? you look great". ANY SUGGESTION??? THANKS.

Hey,
The reason you probably are on the thick side IS because you exercise alot and therefore have some muscle weight in you. The skinny girls usually have very little muscle and that is why they seem so thin they can break. If you want to lose some weight, first of all eat healthy, I know you probably already do this, but try to cut out soda, sweets, and processed foods (like frozen or microwave foods). Also, you may be in sports programs but doing things that do not really help with weight loss. I bet you already pretty much have enough muscle weight so all you need to do is keep it up, and do cardio to lose some of your fat weight.
On that note, I know you said you don't want to hear it, but most guys these days like a "beauty with a booty" and not a girl who looks like she will fall if the wind blows or break if you touch her. So being thick is a good thing as long as you are proportional and dress your body nicely instead of trying to fit in a smaller size.
