Dodge problem Intermittent CE Light?

I have a 97 Dodge Caravan which gives me a Check Engine light from time to time - situation way to detailed to go into in depth here. I need an experienced Dodge Tech to discuss by e-mail what remaining possibilities there may be after extensive efforts have been made.

Please post a note here (so I can close this Q ) and contact me through my Y!A email link on my profile page.

I Know - I am flirting with the limits of the guidelines by inviting email ... please do not nuke me for it - I really need to establish a contact or contacts beyound this forum with other experienced Dodge Techs - 30 or more years experience please!

Thank You.

Update:

first retriev the trouble code. if you don't have a DRB,diagnostic readout

box,try this a: set the parking brake and put in park/neutral 'depends wether you car is auto or manual. b: raise the engine speed to approximately 2500rpm & slowly let the speed down to idle. cycle the air con system, briefly on and off if equiped. if automatic, shift to all the gaers then shift back to park, foot on the brake. c:to display code on the dashboard, turn ignition key on, off,on,off & on.light will blink the # of d 1st digit then pause will blink the # of the second digit. ihave the trouble codes listings for dodge if you need help.
