My husband did some concrete work a couple days ago and didn't wear a mask?

He is now having some breathing problems that are not consistant to his COPD. Is this something concrete dust would cause and what if anything could they do for him in an emergency room.

If you have any concerns go to the doctor- what are you worried about the co-pay? or the doctor will laugh at you?

You never mentioned what concrete work he was doing. If he was placing concrete, the silica dust is wet and stays down. You typically never see concrete workers wear a mask during a concrete placement.

If was drilling or chopping concrete, the dust could have aggravated a previous condition. Osha is concerned with silica dust.

    Cheers and good luck!

umm...I'm not sure...but my dad has worked with concrete for over 15years and never once used a mask. That type of problem never occurred to him nor to his employees. He should go get checked to see if this was caused by concrete dust or something else. Hope everything turns out well :)
