I get an intense itch on the bottom of my foot, it comes in waves and nothing helps. any ideas?

Happens about once a week usually just as I'm falling asleep. Scratching has no affect, it's like from inside but goes away on its own in about 5 minutes. It can happen in either foot but only one at a time.

It's not HIV, the other person is just trying to scare you.

Itching can be caused from kidney disease, so if you haven't had any lab work (blood tests) to check your BUN and creatinine, then you should have it checked. Usually though this kind of itching is all over, and not just on your feet.

Most of the time, this kind of itch is normal, it usually means nothing except you have an itchy foot.
