Helplessly, I've been brain washed.
My father was a commander in the police force, and I grew up in a house where if someone came over 2 minutes late he would make us tell them that he left.
I can still hear him say:" Avant l'heure n'est pas l'heure, apres l'heure n'est pas l'heure"
Of course, then life played a trick on me and I had to marry someone who doesn't believe in wearing a watch.

I always try to be very punctual because I always get nervous about being late, however, my family goes by Arab time, which means that if someone invites them somewhere at 8:00, they think it means 9:00 :P
I agree with Arpsy, lool.
Whenever I have to invite family members over for dinner or something, if we want them to be at our house at 6:00, we tell them to come at 5:00.
