hospitals that specializes in dachshunds?

    Don't think there is such a thing. If a vet knows how to care for one breed, he/she is going to know how to care for others and will take advantage of that knowledge to help other dogs.

    I don't know that any animal hospital could stay in business, if it specialized in just "one" breed. Unless a Vet or Vet school is convenient to you, it also won't help.

    There may be some vets who OWN dachshunds & therefore would be more knowledgeable or caring, but unless you hook up with a local Dachshund club, (find them thru the AKC & a list of local dachsie clubs from the national Dachshund club.)

    There's no way to find a vet who is esp good for the particular problems in your breed, other than looking for recommendations either from other dachshund owners or from dogs owners you trust. Ask for recommendations on a general GOOD vet from: your breeder, groomers, obedience clubs, dog parks or neighbors, family members.

    No, but most if not all vets are quite familiar with the problems Dachshunds are prone to.
