What plants have you grown and used to eliminate human parasites?

Specifically, name the plant, how to use it, what parasite(s) may be eliminated using these plants. How long did you need to use this plant? What problems did the parasite(s) cause. Get as gross as you need to describe the parasitic affect eliminated.

Update:

That is eliminate parasites in humans... lol

Thanks, for the DE response. Not exactly a plant, and am more interested in parasites that make their way into other parts of the body - beyond bowels, like legs, fingers, brains, etc...

Herbs? Anyone eat and grow them for medicinal purposes?

Adding a little food-grade diatomaceous earth (DE) to your diet will eliminate most intestinal parasites. We give it to our dog regularly, because he is a scavenger and was getting all sorts of parasites. He hasn't had a single problem since we started adding it to his food.

We haven't had the need to take DE ourselves, but as I said, it is food grade quality. I have read a number of CAM websites that recommend it as a daily preventative for people. Out of curiosity we have eaten some for a few days. It is totally tasteless and we certainly didn't feel any the worse for it.
