How do you go about naming your child/children?
What I mean is, do you choose only one name for your child or do you make a list and wait to see what he/she looks like before naming them?
I for one am a fan of the list lol. Thanks to seeing one too many people change the name they originally set on because the baby didn't "fit" the name they chose.

My husband and I couldn't decide on names at all so we took a friends advice for what she did. We bought a calender and everytime one of us came up with a combo that we would put it the date that we thought he would come. If he was born on any of your days then the name on that date was the name he was given. It worked pretty well for us. Before putting the name on the calender we had to run it by each other to see if we could live with that name. Our first son Kingston Alexander was actually named by my sister she had put it there because she loved it. My husband always wanted to use it but she had ' dibs ' on it but when he was born she gave in. We are doing the same now with our twins.

I think that a list is a good option. Have a few names preplanned. Ones that you like and that won't embarrass the kid later in life. Then when the child is born the right name will come out of those. A little of both.

I love baby names and keep a list on my computer. When putting my list together, I made sure to just write down the names I love with possible middle name combinations. I'll sort through them when I see the kid. 5 names for girls and 5 names for boys, taking into account possible physical characters. Either blonde or red hair, but black hair at birth (our son David was born with black hair like his mommy hehe), eventually light brown or red when the child is an adult. Less likely to have a red head, but it happens frequently on both sides of the family.

I'm gonna do the list, more likely. I have a list of boy names i love and a list of girl names I love. Whenever i have a child, I'll pick from the list of names I already love. =)

Your Answer:
I picked one name and kept with that and when i was pregnant with my son i just knew that his name would fit him, and i had already started calling him Maddox and Max before he was born, and his name and nickname do fit him perfectly.
I already have names picked out for my twins too, but i'm only 13 weeks pregnant so i dunno whether they are 2 boys, 2 girls, or 1 of each yet, so til i do, i can't start calling by their names yet, but once i do find out, i am gonna start calling them by their names, just like a i did with Max.
Hope this helps, :D.

For me fist daughter my husband and I made a list and chose the names Jaelyn Nicole (prononced Jay-lin) and Taylor Noelle. She looked more like a Jaelyn so we chose that. We love it. We sometimes call her Jay or JJ for short. Now my husband and I are stuck aon choosing a name for baby #2. (Also a girl).
Hope I helped! :)
