Somebody told me that Islam is a peaceful religion..where to find a proof ? Is it somewhere in the Koran?

The reason is :

Islam just does not match with any Democracy or International Human Rights Organization for the simple fact that they feel Islamic laws and teachings come first.

Some Sharia Laws allow for a Muslim woman to have rights in the marriage but only if she obeys her husband because in Qur'an 4:34 men are allowed to beat their wives if their wives disobey them. The beating must cease if the woman complies with her husband's demands. Beating is also intended to be the last resort, behind verbal abuse and abandonment.

Muslim men are allowed more than one wife. Women no. Men can marry a non-Muslim and try to convert her. Women no. Women in many cases (but not all Muslim families) must cover up. Men can run about in shorts. Go to Saudi Arabia Muslim women are not allowed to drive. Homosexuals in some Islamic countries are put to death, tourtured. Islamic laws just doesn't match with any international human rights organization

when you ask a question there are so many muslim who bring you a lot of prophet sayings or qoran verses to prove you what they are doing is right even if thats really wrong or what you say is wrong even if you are right . if you read qoran you will find some contradictory issues between the verses indeed, for example one verse says A is not accepted and one says A is completely accepted. Also it has so many other issues that is against wisdom, morals, women and human being as well, but people (masses are the asses) tell you

you cannot think and interpret these things You’re not the one to talk about these. Just Ayatollahs and Mullahs can understand it.”

then muslim tell It reveals the wisdom behind this concept.

if a book has came to exist for all people and for any time it should be understandable for any one and in any time other wise any one can abuse of its concept or any one can interpret it in the benefit of him/herself according to his/her situation

or when i ask a question about some thing that i think its not fair or just in the islam they tell me Please don t try to find problem in Quran . You know that qoran came to foolish and stupid people in those time so its wise if qoran isnt fair"

Islam is a peaceful religion because if you dont accept that is peaceful then you should face with a war

In essence Islam is quite a peaceful religion, with certain provisos. Those are:

1. That you submit to Allah

2. That you submit to the rules of Islam

Basically, provided everyone is a good Muslim and follows the rules exactly, Islam is very peaceful. If that doesn't hold, well, that's where the problems start.

why not reading the quran

the following points cant be all find in any other belief or philosophy except islam

1-source preserved without word change (still in the original language)

2-simple belief :one GOD sent one message by different messengers

3-challenges to find a mistake or make one chapter like the Quran (falsification test)

4-logic answers to our questions (make sense)

5-harmony with all fields of science

6-spirituals and moralities

Islam is a very peaceful religion, the word itself means "peace". If you read the Q'uran you will see what the teachings are.

There may be a lot of violence in Muslim countries, or a lot of violent people who happen to be Muslim. They do not reflect an entire culture or religion. Throughout history there have been plenty of violent Christians (or any other religious group) but you don't see that represented in the media do you? No. The media is very, very biased.

Watch documentaries on youtube about Islam, i've been doing so and it is quite interesting. Apparently back in the day when the religion was being founded, some main guy in the religion (muhummad?) decided his city should attack the city next to them, just incase they were going to attack them first. Anyone who didn't get killed was forced to be converted to Islam, or they would be killed. Whether or not that is truly part of the story, i'm not sure. But i found that interesting.

I had the same question so I bought a Koran, unfortunately only got the incomplete baby version. They must have seen me coming. Then got the entire Koran and I've read most of it. In one sura (chapter) it says to love those who don't believe then later in another it also says after a while if they don't believe it's OK to kill them.

according to islam: the killing of one innocent life amounts to the killing of whole humanity"

one who kills an innocent life would not be forgiven.

saving one life amounts to the saving of whole humanity.

islam is the only religion which cares even for the rights of animals and plants.

it has been asked to plant more trees and keep care of them and also keep care of animals and don't harm them except the situations in which it is somehow permissible.

a person can't be a good muslim unless he is a good human and does good with others. islam strongly supports human Rights and has also kept rights for neighbors and workers.
