Help deleting GRUB, or at least booting windows recovery console?

I've dug myself a real hole here. Hope you can help.

I recently had to recover my computer, in the process i installed ubuntu to check my external HDD for any damage. (the ubuntu was installed on a partition on the external disk)

I then rather hastily deleted the partition once i had recovered windows and now whenever i boot the computer tries to load GRUB to no avail. I reinstalled ubuntu to try to repair GRUB so i could at least get to windows recovery to perform the fdisk /mbr but i get GRUB error 17 and can't even get into ubuntu to reinstall GRUB...

I also don't have a windows recovery disk so this brings me to my question.

Is there any way i can remove GRUB or boot windows recovery directly from the BIOS?

This is what i have done in this same situation. I installed ubuntu next to windows and that gave me the grub back along with the option to boot to windows. I even tried to do a recovery with my windows disk to copy the NTLDR back to the C: drive with no prevail. So its either install ubuntu on there and dual boot or just install Ubuntu all together

Also I do not know of a way to do this from the BIOS, because I don't think you can
