Do you still believe NASA faked the Moon landings?

I only want replies from people who have said here before that NASA faked them. Have you changed your mind now that NASA has new pictures ( http://w3.ibm.com/jct03001pt/wps/myportal ) from a new Moon orbiting satellite showing the Lunar Module decent stages sitting on the Moon? And in the case of Apollo 14 it even shows some trampled ground where the astronauts walked back and forth from the LM to the science station they setup and back.

Or do you claim the new pictures are just more fakes?

Update:

Sorry, I posted the wrong link. Here is the correct link to the new pictures:

Update 2:

Ok, so far no self described hoax believers have answered.

All you hoax believers out there, and I know you are out there, please answer. I really want to know if the new photographs changed your mind, and if not why not.

I saw this photo : http://history.nasa.gov/alsj/a11/AS11-39-5741.jpg and after seeing it, I am a bit closer to believing that it did happen. There are a few stars visible, which is what should have happened, but I also think that nowadays Photoshop is better than ever! It still hasn't changed my mind, and nothing they can do now can change my mind either. As far as I'm concerned the photos they post today might be photoshoped and no one can say they can't be. The only way I will be convinced is if they show us the original films from their cameras.

Also, I have seen retired NASA scientists stating that it was all a fake! They said it clearly! We never went to the moon, and the reason is BIGGER than what you think. Let's just say that there is more there than meets the eye

Woah this conspiracy theory still going around??! yes they might have reasons to fake it. But! it was NOT fake! First I'm going to counter all your arguments and then bring some of my own: -multiple shadows: (You really think that in a project that big, they would put on multiple lamps??) The moon's surface has one of the highest reflectivity (Albedo) we know of. Which means that the moon reflects the light very well. (Now you also know why the moon is so very bright at night.) The moon doesn't have an atmosphere. So the light won't get darker if it reflects from somewhere. If you're on the moon, there's light coming from everywhere. If there's a mountain next to you it would reflect the light right on you from there. And since there is no atmosphere, even a reflecting surface that is far far away is still a strong "radiator". This is how you get multiple shadows on the moon. -waving flag: If you look closely you can see a bar holding it up. And it waves since the astronauts had to push and turn it into the ground. So the flag waves because of them pushing it in. Of course there's no wind on the moon, but also no atmosphere which would make it stop waving faster. -no blast crater: there is no atmosphere on the moon. So any dust that the rocket dispersed would fall straight down again. The engine got turned off bout 6ft before they landed. (Imagine if they had kept it on till the landing.. they would never land there. The gravity there is way lower than here on Earth.) -Van Allen radiation belt: about 40,000km which the astronauts crossed in about 90mins, which means they were exposed to a radiation of about 2mSv. Just to clarify this unit [Sv]: In the US the low avarage radiation you are exposed to at work is about 50mSv. You shouldn't forget that the rocket moved passed the Van Allen radiation belt quickly. -bout the clear marks of editing and backgrounds.. i dont really know what you mean by that.Such a poor job: I'm guessing you mean the quality of the footage. Well, you cant expect them to bring huge cameras on a journey where every little bit of mass counts. Now some of my arguments: -400,000 people were involved in this project. So you had to have 400,000 people lying about it. -The rocks that the UdSSR and the USA brought home from the moon have exactly the same composition. (which would mean that even the Russians or the geologists are involved in this conspiracy) -The dust in the videos looks exactly how it should. A perfect balistic arc. (Which they could have only filmed if they were in a almost perfect vacuum) And my final argument: -You can see the landing site from Earth with a good telescope. You can see the flag and the marks the "car" left on the surface. I hope I convinced you now and if not at least some other people that still believe in this conspiracy theory.

It's been a while since I've been on Y!A, but thanks for posting the link to these shots, Campbelp. As you know, I was a frequent poster here to rebut the Apollo hoax myth. The first thing that jumped out at me was how the large crater to the west of the Eagle descent stage is exactly where it should be. I recognized it because I'd made a comparison shot of shadows to debunk someone on Youtube one time.....

I linked one of the photos I used in the "sources" section.

Imagine that the shadow of the descent stage in the LRO image of the Apollo 11 landing site were going left in stead of right, but about the same length. The crater that would be below the shadow is the one on the left in the out-the-window image I've linked to. Also note the hill in the distance - it's also right where it should be in the LRO image. (In the annotated thumbnail image, the bottom-left of the A in "Apollo 11" is about where the near edge of the hill is - view the full-size image to see a wider view. Also note the field of boulders to the east, which Armstrong had to manually pilot the lander past during descent)

I personally never doubted the landings, and this is pretty damned conclusive proof in my book.

Like others say - People who want to believe the bunk wouldn't change their minds if they were brought to the moon and allowed to stand on the descent stages themselves.

Me, I think the shots are wonderful, especially the 14 site where footprints are visible!

Anyone who still believes we went to the moon is delusional. Reasons: The fuel capacity to travel 238,855 miles to the moon and back to earth. During the day the temperature on the Moon can reach 253 Fahrenheit (123 Celsius), while at night it can drop to -387 Fahrenheit (-233 Celsius). The Earth, which has an atmosphere, has much more comfortable temperatures 1969 space suits were not up to snuff.

And last but not least the docking situation. Bottom line we just didn't have the technology to accomplish the trip in 1969 or today. Why? Van Allen radiation belt. It's okay, not the end of the world relax.

I never did believe they were faked. The so called evidence that they were doesn't hold up to scrutiny or even common sense.

Thanks for the link. I've seen the Apollo 11 site but not the others. However, just as happened with the "face on Mars", people will believe what they want to believe. They'll dismiss all photographic evidence that shows it is not a face as being fake, especially when the new evidence interferes with their book sales.

Probably fake. There was these photos that were taken miles apart from one another, but they still look identical. As if they were working within a limited amount of space. Im pretty sure there are a lot of inconsistencies.

  • First attempt of NASA on moon landing is nothing but to make the people of word fool in general & USSR people fool in special because of political situation. To belive it, so many evidence are existing & NASA was unable to satisfied the doubt created on MOON LANDING by the people at that time. Now the scenerio is changed. Even, INDIA have a MOON MISSION & as such, , NASA is not capable only for moon landing BUT landing on other planates of our solar system due to technological developments.

Its predictable that some hoaxers will still not accept this as evidence.

Its such a same that people prefer to believe that our greatest acheivement yet was all a lie.

Who said that NASA scientists has claimed it was a hoax? Please give me a link and a name because I can't find one.

You seem to be misunderstanding what I said.

I think we did go to the moon, I just don't believe that USA got to the moon the first time. I think they were not ready, but they had to do something fast because of the russians, but i do believe man got to the moon later on.

why does it really matter if they're real or not?. If they are real nothing is going to happen. If they are fake your life will not change in any way. Since i don't really care i just believe it. I would hope the government would have better things to do than to make up lunar landing stories. They could spend their times improving army and stuff. It would be such a waste of money to make up the video and stuff like that.
