What is the best way to find private art students in Los Angeles?

My son is a professional artist with a good degree. He is privately teaching young autistic adults in Los Angeles and would like to find more students, either mainstream or special needs. Does anyone know of good places to advertise? Thanks!

The best way to cast a big net out there today seems to be advertising on craigslist.com under Services Offerred>Lessons and Tutoring or and under Communities>Artists.

A smaller approach in his immediate area would be to contact schools in his neighborhood at whatever level(s) he would like to teach. Many schools have lost their art programs and classroom teachers might know of students who have shown an interest in or talent for art. If there is an art specialist, this would be the logical contact to find students who would like to go deeper into art than class time allows. Also, with his special needs experience, contacting the special ed supervisor would make sense.

i grew to become into going to indicate Prep, even till now you indexed it. It sounds like a suitable extra wholesome. And being a legacy, i think of which you will possibly have a leg up. i might STRONGLY propose which you're taking a excursion. It has replaced appreciably considering I graduated, and is even more advantageous as a company of secondary edution than whan I attended. they have an remarkable appearing arts software. in the journey that your son is doing artwork at paintings center, it basically is sensible to me to stay in the section. even regardless of the undeniable fact that i'm biased as an alum of Prep, HW might additionally look surprising on a school app. in the journey that your son has the flexibility to get into the two, it is particularly a win-win. My basically subject could be having to flow back and forth there, considering you look in the Pasadena section. colleges like Prep and HW are certainly extra aggressive than public colleges, yet this could be a good element. you don't get to be the wonderful at something by means of attempting for mediocrity. Your son sounds like he will flourish at the two one. (yet flow REBELS!) :-)
