Is Obama yesterday's news?

Headlines, July 23, 2009:

The Dow Jones industrial average today rose another 188 points to a higher level than before the crash during the Bush Administration! Economic experts said that reaching the 9,000 level today should once more convince businesses that the economy is slowly returning to normalcy.

Reuters reported today that U.S. existing home sales rose for the third month in a row in June, a signal that the housing industry is slowly healing. Lawrence Yun, the National Association of Realtors' chief economist told a press conference, "The housing market is healing after four years of recession"!

The University of Michigan's consumer confidence index rose again for the fourth month in a row in June of 2009 after crashing in the final months of the Bush Administration. The index shows that consumers are on average 20% more confident now than then.

Update:

For those who can't figure out the relationship of my question to the rest of my statement, 'Yesterday's News" refers to both yesterday's actual economic news which conflicts with the common right-wing attitude that Obama is "Yesterday's News".

Update 2:

If you still don't get it Boogerman, then I don't know what to tell you except that you should have payed more attention in English literature class.

I don't understand the question from the information you put after. Of course the economy is going to recover, it was and is just a matter of time. The criticism from Obama haters showed their ignorance, there was no over-night fix.

Enjoy this temporary up tick while it lasts because it won't last long

Obama is strangling the economy with wasteful debt and excessive taxes and regulation of business. Massive energy taxes to fight "global warming" and socialized medicine will wipe out the buying power of middle America. This combination is a guaranteed loser.

There is nothing in the Obama economic plan which points toward any kind of permanent economic recovery.
