Good morning ladies! Which Baby Shower gift was the most invaluable to you?

Which gift would you not want to live without? I'm trying to make my list small enough to be manageable but comprehensive enough that I don't have a Homer Simpson 'DUH' moment after the event, when I wish I'd asked for something different :) LOL

Thanks all!

We just had our baby shower this past Sunday, and the best thing that we got was a set of bottles that reduces chances for collic, and an awesome baby monitor. Other than that, we got so many books, and that's about it. I appreciated all the gifts, but I had that "DUH" moment that you talked about when my wife brought home all the gifts. Besides the monitor and bottles, there was nothing of use. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the gifts that we received, but for some reason I thought that people go by what you registered for when getting you gifts. Apparently, not only two people even looked at the registry, and everyone else just got books and whatever else they wanted. Try to make sure that doesn't happen to you.

Baby Bjorn - you can wear the baby and walk around and do other things - good thing if you have a baby like mine who hated to be put down. I had a Baby Bjorn and one called a BabyHawk. It was a bit softer and wrapped around to fit me and the baby. And the SwaddleMe blankets. I remember getting one of them and thinking, what the heck is this - but as I did not know at the time, a lot babies like to sleep swaddled and my sons slept much better when swaddled.

    Congrats and good luck
