How can I remove gum from her paw?

When I had taken my dog to the dog park today she had stepped in gum. What is a easy way to remove it with out hurting her. Cause its on the hair part. I tried a bath and to soak it. Any other ideas?

Have you tried peanut butter? Once the gum comes out, you might have extra peanut butter on the paw. You can soak it off, or the dog can lick the paw, just make sure she doesn't bite her paw off haha.

The oil in the peanut butter is what is going to make it come off. You may have to do it more than once.

    Good Luck! x

Make her sit still and hold an ice cube on it. It will make the gum brittle so it can break off. The dog may experience a small amount of discomfort, but nothing like pulling out hair with sticky gum!

    Have someone else hold her.

Hold an ice cube against the gum to harden it.

Cut it out with a pair of blunt-tipped scissors.

If you can't manage it, or are afraid you'll hurt her, take her to a groomer, who will handle it easily

Good on you for noticing it!

Try goo gone. Spray an ample amount on your pup and the gum will actually slide right off as you remove it. It's supposingly effective, not greasy or sticky and not harmful. Afterwards just wipe her paw off with a warm rag to clean the area.

I've heard peanut butter works too - dunno the specs though.

soak it with cold water for like a couple of minutes and it should become hard and with a little push it should come off.
