can you freeze mint leaves to be good and stay green all year?

I freeze them in water, in an ice-cube tray. Then you can either thaw them as needed or just use the minty ice cube as-is in a drink later in the year!
This works well for other herbs, too, and you can throw the cubes into stews or whatever as you need them.

Puree them and freeze the mash, I am a former chef and both mint and basil will not survive freezing.

When I froze them they went a bit black like they were bruised and when I thawed them they were very wilted. Fine for cooking, no good for eating fresh

I you freeze them in water they will be fine! without water they will go black and wilt!
