Name of a play (or perhaps a book) dealing with English conversations?
I need the name of the play/book that analyzed the use of language in conversations, and posed hypothetical situations, any ideas?
Something like:
"Hello, first name"
"Superficial question about health"
"followed by superficial answer"

There is a movie that treats this idea--Soderbergh's film, "Schizopolis."
"Generic daily greeting!"
"Generic daily greeting returned!"
Etc. It's pretty madcap check it out. They probably have clips on youtube.
