i need to bake bread w/ hard crust, no proofer, no steam in oven,?

i already have tried to wash the bread w/ water before putting in oven, adding a tray of water to the bottom of oven, and even lowering temp and baking longer, i need some serious help please

Update:

worked great!! no brushing, just sprayed, dough before going in the oven, and sprayed everytime i rotated the trays, thank you very much!!!!

    part way through baking spray the bread with water. Use a spray bottle and just spritz the bread.

    To me, that firm crust is what makes the bread so wonderful. But I found this when I did a search: There is an easy way to accomplish getting a soft crust. Glaze the dough with some milk before putting it in the oven to bake. If you forget to do this, you can always brush the baked bread with butter RIGHT after removing it from the oven. Both methods will turn your homemade bread crusts soft.
