can you make an image black and white except for a small part with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6?

    Yes you can.

    A quick and dirty method:

    1. Open file

    2. Duplicate layer (<menu bar> Layer > Duplicate Layer..> [OK])

    3. Remove color (<menu bar> Enhance > Adjust Color > Remove Color)

    4. Erase grey to reveal color underneath. (Eraser Tool)

    5. Flatten Image (<menu bar> Layer > Flatten Image )

    6. Save as ...color splash version.

    note: to add extra color use the Brush Tool with the Mode set to Color.

    You can litterally do anything on photoshop!

    Another really quck and easy program is Picnik.com... it's 100% free and it takes honestly a minuet. much less complecated them photoshop :)

    just type in Picasa free download and you can do that for free.
