This I'm experienced in =( I try to pray, because if something you want didn't come to you then I believe God's preparing for something you would love even MORE. Feel better...if you don't. I'm currently trying to get over something but it's harder than I could say ...

I sigh & feel disappointed i suppose. But then I realise everything happens for a reason and that some things arent just meant to be. I trust in God & his plan for me. I'll accept my disappointment because something better will come along which will pickup my disappointment and turn it back into excitment.

I do not get disappointed because I usually mentally prepare myself before for the other possible outcomes and then equip myself with a strategy or new back up plan(s) that will benefit me and my situation.
-Optimist- I try to find the good in all situations.

Accept that it is all in the game.
Life is like a game.
Know that we may win on some aspects and loose on some other.
Let us not overjoy when we win and get depressed when we loose.
For, while you may be in control on what you do, end result is not fuuly under our control alone
This is the secret of life.
