Church pianist, accompanist, playing parties, special events, weddings, funerals, pit orchestra for musicals, to add to the comments. You will need to be very versatile in styles of music and have strong sight reading skills as a lot of jobs I mention don't always have long lead times to prepare. You will need business cards and advertising fliers everywhere and network to the limit with local arts organizations. Audition every opportunity you can. Maybe produce your own CD and in this day and age a web site with sample music is a must. Best wishes.

Well, let's see... I play piano and organ in addition to Guitar. When I was young I wanted to be a concert pianist until I had the chance to be around a one for a summer and decided that wasn't such a smart thing to do to my self.

I played organ at the local skating rink for a couple of years... and I play keyboard in my concerts even today.

I spent a season with a Touring Ballet Company playing the piano for rehearsals and I spent a couple of years playing piano in Cabaret bands in Europe.

I use the piano to compose, even for the guitar and I mix piano, and keyboard with guitar in my shows.

I also used my musical ability to build and operat a multi-track recording studio about 30 years ago.

A lot of groups use piano or keyboard and you could buy an old Hammond B-3 or C Model to play with one of those.
