If the Obama healthcare is passed?

will private charities go out of business? What would be the point of giving to charities, if the government has taken control of everyone's healthcare?

No one would be given help that the government doesn't allow, right?

That's the way I look at it.

The last time I needed hospitalization, it was my church that offered assistance not only faster, but more efficiently. Also, they only asked me one question: How may we help you?

Let's see the government offer such help with only that one question.

Edit-Alayna-bring them to my church. We'll help. Or is it because it's religion based that you oppose THAT idea?

Please, bring them to my church; we want to help and we want the government to do THEIR job, not ours.

Edit2: Thinking; Did it ever occur to you that our church may run a charity hospital? You know, kind of like St Jude's Research Hospital for children?

My last hospitalization would have run over $150,000,(according to the nun who broke down my care) and I was uninsured. Was it all covered? No, it wasn't ALL free...but I ended up with a bill of less than 10% of that due to the volunteering of the doctors, nuns doing nursing care, and other such charitable acts and donations.

Please, I beg of you to tell me, what is so bad about that, and why do you think the Government will do better?

Your question makes no sense.... what charities are you speaking of

No one would be given help that the government doesn't allow, right?

    Wrong,

Do you work for a charity?

Nope they will still be in full force

    .

There ain't too many charities that give out free health last check I made

    .

And the thing about the Health care industry being a non profit industry is a reporters interpretation of what they see

    .

There is not one health care industry CEO that has everybody in the company going home in a 1999 Ford 150 Pick up truck

    .

Cause they all have to work for free

    .

And to get paid and pay all the bills to keep the building that all those offices are located in does take a pocket of Bills to pay

    .

And America is in it for the Profit ya do know

It sounds like it is going to. And it is going to. i'm surprised in any respect the resistance to getting a terrible device replaced. Will his plan strengthen issues? i do no longer understand. the considerable factors would be worked out over the arriving years and are unlikely to have an considerable effect for a minimum of four years or maybe extra. So why all the hoopla? because of the fact they do no longer elect Obama to be precise approximately something. you notice admitting that he became precise potential that they've been all incorrect and of direction with the GOP's eyes on 2012, they cant enable Obama be precise approximately something, even whilst he's, it is a brilliant variety of the time. yet a minimum of he's doing something to strengthen lives here at abode. something his predecessor appeared to forget approximately approximately. It takes a brilliant variety of braveness to tackle well being care interior america. for the reason that there is not any one plan suits all, maximum individuals are going to project what you're doing. Even your allies as he found out. This President, besides the shown fact that, i'm very happy with as he keeps to forget approximately with regard to the naysayers and push on with an schedule he believes in, no longer in simple terms what gets him wealthy or reelected.

Yes, giving free healthcare to those in need to a terrible idea isn't it?

Why should help have to be religion based in the first place? Look at England, their health plan helps people who are in need without forcing them to pay.

Have a private health plan if necessary for those who can afford it.

Again I repeat, why should free health care only be provided by religious based bodies?

Say a pagan needs healthcare, they have a low paying job. Why should they be forced to go to a Christian organisation (who as a general religion, has perscuted them for years)?

Why not make it secular? The government should be looking after its people not the charities.

England's healthcare is free for all, I'm not prepared for my child to have to pay hundreds of dollars in the future if her cancer comes back.

    Its sick!

Also free healthcare wouldn't put the church/charity organisations 'out of business'!

    Re "Ask our church":

Our last family medical crisis would have been $800 000 in the US. Could your church find that sort of money?

There are plenty of options for charities, apart from healthcare.

There are many, many charities in countries with Universal Health Care.

Don't know about charities but black market health care and health care sought overseas will be the new means to take care of yourself. Back alley abortions will be high on the list.
