Mountains, scenic views and nature?

I live in Maryland, i would to know where i can stand on a mountain. well I just want to visit abeautiful place, like a park, maybe go for a drive just somwhere beautiful like a mountain. Do you have any suggestions for where i could go. maximun 2hr drive. thanks

    The Shennadoah National Park is one long drive on top of a mountain. We used to live in Washington DC and went there quite often. It's your closest place for scenic views, mountains & nature and is especially lovely in the autumn.
