Will people receiving survivor benefits get the increase of living this year?

I know people who receive social security retirement benefits will not be getting the increase but will people on disablility and survivor benefits still get theirs?

Since the CPI did not increase since last September there will be no cost of living increase this Jan for anyone. The 5% we received last Jan was actually too much since by then prices had fallen from their peak the previous September. here are the numbers that the cost of living adjustments are based on.

    2008 09 218.68

    2008 10 216.89

    2008 11 213.26

    2009 01 212.17

    2009 02 213·01

    2009 03 212·71

    Nope.

Anyone receiving any type of benefits from SS will not see an increase.
