what is the best way to clean window tint adhesive ?

i need to re-tint my back window and need a way to clean the adhesive off the window without damaging the rear defroster lines in the window

    Goo Gone works well too, I have also used paint thinner but I'm not sure it's too good for the defroster lines.

    napthalene (zippo lighter fluid) or a product called Goof Off
