msn live messenger HELP?
Okay so i had msn live messenger on my computer and when i signed in it used to ask if "i would like to download the latest version". Seeing as it wasn't necessary i just ignored but a couple of weeks ago my msn wouldn't sign in unless i downloaded the new version.
So i pressed yes and continued all the usual steps to install the latest version of windows live onto my computer when it said that i couldn't completely install it as there was an error or something :S
I tried un-installing it and all msn's preferences but my computer wouldn't let me for some reason.
I tried to download the latest version from the website and get the straight download but again i had the same problem; that it could not be downloaded 'fully'.
Now i'm stuck using windows messenger (the one that comes free with your computer) and i would really like to have my msn messenger back.
I've even tried downloading and older version which i've had previously and it still didnt work.
I have windows XP btw :)
please try and help me

I had the same problem once on a different lap top I had that did not have enough space for all the features of the newest Windows Live Messenger. (I also had XP then & now). You do not have to download all the features listed & to be honest it's just a gimmick because you will never use them. Try downloading from here. At some point, it will let you chose what options you really want. In my opinion, just check messenger & mail & it wont take so much space but you will still have what you need. I think this is what might be happening to you.

Sorry! it is not achievable! I even have the two a sort of too! And properly what I did replaced into seem in any respect my contacts on the two and wrote all of them down! Then I positioned all of them on the two yet usualy i'm on homestead windows stay messanger rather of msn. through fact i think of it particularly is cooler so I even have the comparable quantity on the two so every time i've got faith like signing on msn or homestead windows stay I constantly have the comparable quantity of contacts! desire It helps! :-)
