What are the best universities to study American History?

    The Ivies and Georgetown. What will you do with the degree? The only realistic options are teaching high school and going to law school. I majored in history and went to law school. There are many more new history Ph.D.s than there are jobs for them, so going on for a Ph.D. in history is not a good option.
