This is a very good question and the answer is yes.

The work on the spiritual path is constant evaluation, and criticism. We have to be aware of our true state all the time.

And as you suggested the states are always changing, and our mind, and capability of perception is changing too.

In truth the whole of reality is only inside us, dependent on our own qualities, and as our qualities change, the reality is changing too.

So what we need to do: we need to change, improve our own qualities so they match the "absolute reality outside of us".

We have to use a practical scientific method to help us in this.

I hope it helps, all the best.

I have some answers and by the time being they become just more and more opened. Like flower...

I do not use mind when it comes to the spiritual. Usually mind accepts something logical. Spiritual is not logical.

    The soul knows the Lord.

I continuously question myself, my motivations, my choices. I ask myself if this is the person I want to be, and if the answer is no, then I figure out what I need to change in order to be that person. Anyone who does not self-evaluate on a regular basis turns into a bitter, unyielding fool who hates and fears everything.

But I'm ALREADY connected with reality -- that's kinda the entire POINT of not having a religion...

Read the Bible, pray, read the Bible, pray, have something to eat, pray, read the Bible, pray!

    God bless!
