How do I not get my but kicked in Mafia Wars?

Because there would always be someone with higher stats then you and outdoing you on everything cuhz they don't have a life like you...I get attacked all the time...no big deal...

I will try and explain my theory to you.

You have to consider the fact that there is so many factors to winning a battle.

The way it works is like this.

Mafia size: If you have a bigger mafia you won on this front but you did not get a victory.

Base stats: if you have bigger stats you win here but not a guarantee victory

Equipment stats: If you have better equipment stats you win here but not a victory.

You have to win on two of the three fronts in order to successfully defend or win a battle.

Having the best items is only just a part of winning on one front of the the battle.

(Hidden bonuses like boosts and criticals are just hiccups and can't really explain it.)

Mafia size is the biggest factor in determining who wins or loses a fight. It is the only stat available to view from the eye. Having the bigger mafia will give you a head start in winning or defending a battle. When you attack someone and they have less mafia you already won the battle on that particular front giving you a point to victory from the beginning.

Now when you have a big mafia and you fight someone with the same mafia size then you dont have that guaranteed head start and it comes down to stats and weapons. If he has better stats and you better equipment he still wins if you attack. There is no tie. Ties go to the defender.

Here is a tip.

You have to consider this scenario. If you have 500 mafia with the best items hooked up it only gives you a few extra points to attack and defense. But if he has 501 he can get three other items that add to his overall defense and attack. This increases his overall attack and defense significantly over just hooking up your smaller mafia with the best items. Having a bigger mafia size(if you can supply them with decent weapons) is always better than having the best items for a smaller mafia. Think about it that way. Good luck
