May I download updates wirelessly to my ipod touch OR is there a simpler way without going through iTunes?

I find using iTunes a headache, be it on a WinMo or Mac system. It is slightly easier on a MAC. Are there alternatives to iTunes? Thank you in advance.

    Nope. It's a pain in the a$$ but that's all there is.
