There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one!!! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!!

There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!!

Pilot is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!!

At best he was an amalgam of those others!!

If Jesus died for sins, does that mean the people who are doing sins will not go to hell? that's all foolish. Everybody will have to pay for his sins. Jesus was great, and had shown the way of enlightenment and nothing else.

He should have remained dead, is that what you mean?

Fair question. The Bible says that the "wages of sin is death". So if someone sins he should forfeit his life. What we need to note here is that Jesus Himself did not sin. He took the punishment on behalf of the sinners. So the punishment does not apply to Him. That is the reason He was able to resurrect Himself.

Sin was punished 'in Him' to declare to the universe for all times to come that the punishment of sin is always death.

  • Naw. it just means that an awful lot of elements from Greek mystery (salvation) religions were forced into someone's bad view of Judaism.

See Orpheus and Dionysus/Bacchus for two. Eleusinian mysteries too. But absolutely check out Tartarus. Sound familiar anyone?

the check of the Satan was bounced yes

because God take from the Satan all what he has on the human.

That happened when Jesus died ,the Satan try to take his spirit as usually he did with all the peoples died before the resurrection of Christ ,and in that time Jesus captured him and release all the peoples from Adam tell Jesus out .

  • Yep.. thats why christians are literally brain dead when it comes to critical thinking and questioning.

If someone sacrifices themself, it only is a sacrifice if they truly die... doing some magic trick and calling yourself a martyr for it is stupid and misleading...

thats like donating your friend $100 and taking it back ten minutes later and expecting your friend to still appreciate the donation...

Christians will never think deeply about this stuff, and the ones that do, well, aren't christians anymore.....

Jesus died for our sins on the cross so that all those who believe in Him may have eternal life.

No. It means that all of the prophecies in the Bible haven't been fulfilled yet...although we're almost there at this point.

No. Not at all. Where would you get such an idea?

He said, "It is finished" on the cross, didn't He?
