Yesterday is about a guy who told his story. Tomorrow is an unplanned present of curiosity to experience now. Today is already gone because the moment you experience it is the past. All you have is the memory of the experience. Just, don't take the past and put it in your future to live with it presently.

i don't think today is a gift but i do think the stuff about yesterday and tomorrow is true
