Do you agree with the selections for the inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame?

Richard Petty, Junior Johnson Bill France, Sr, and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. were virtual locks. Do you agree with only 5 in the initial class? And if so, should Bill France, Jr. have gone in before Yarborough, Pearson, Bobby Allison, Darrell Waltrip or even a current (legendary) driver like Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, or even Jimmie Johnson(whether he wins the Chase this year or not)?

Petty and Earnhardt because of the 7 championship. France Sr. the founder. Junior Johnson with the wins as owner and driver. Pearson should of been the other one, he is second with most wins to Petty. France Jr. should of been in a class of his own with Waltrip and Allison. And everyone knows that Gordon and Johnson are going into the hall of fame the first time around. I think that 5 is a good number.

i don't see any problem with them but why only 5, hell im not going to go to the hall to see 5 driver, they should of put in 25 people in the hall the first year and then 5 a year after that

......I agree with all but Bill France Jr .I think it was during the France Jr leadership(cough-cough) that the "sell out" of NASCAR began.

I would have rather seen Allison,Yarbrough,Pearson,Red Byron or DW in his place.

  • Yes. I think it's fine. The people have to be retired for so many years before there eligible so it'll be at least 10 years before any current driver can get in and that's depending on how long before they retire......
