How do I delete my Yahoo Answers account without deleting my Yahoo ID?
It's time to do something else, and you can't say anything...especially about some marketing scam...without offending someone, so it's time to go.

You can't without deleting your whole yahoo account which includes your email. Just set everything to private and in your about me write something like "not answering anymore questions." I'd try also changing your user ID to something no one could recognize you by. Even if you do chose to delete your whole account everything belongs to Y!A. But I think the set up is good because people always change their minds. I agree with you a hundred percent though about you can't say anything without offending someone. Hope that helps!

You cannot only delete your Yahoo! Answers account, unless you delete your entire account with it. If you want to get rid of your Yahoo! Answers account, privatize your questions and answers and network, disallow fans, remove contacts, and make the gray smiley face your avatar picture. After a few months of inactivity, Yahoo! will suspend your Yahoo! Answers account.

Just set all your preferences to private and dont come back.
( LOL I dont mean that to sound rude.. Im just saying )
I dont think you can delete just your Answers ID.. nor your Yahoo ID for that matter. You just let your email address go dormant a long time, and they eventually delete it for you.

There really is no account to delete however you could double click your avatar, click edit my info, delete the info in your profile, click save then don't return to the site.
