A really dumb question?
I know this is a dumb Q but have you noticed the New Orleans SAINTS in the NFL are also having a successful season like St George Illawarra and St Kilda does this mean they will also fall short in the finals should they make it lol

They're not the only saints falling over.
One of the Twelve Apostles also fell over this year

Well, since I know for sure, the Pittsburgh Steelers will NOT win 2 consecutive Super Bowls. So history can't exactly be repeating itself. I, too, think the Saints have a chance at going to the Conference Finals at least this season. With Jeremy Shockey, Drew Brees, and an explosive Jonathan Vilma, I would expect at least and 11-5 record from the New Orleans Saints. I think they could play Chase Daniel a few times and still win 11 this year.

Yeh, but I don't think the New Orelans Saints are gonna choke.
It's probably gonna sound like gibberish to all you non NFL followers but...
As long as Drew Brees keeps on playing the way he is, they won't choke.
And seeing as the NFC isn't very strong with only the Saints, Giants and Vikings really the only contenders for it, Saints look good to take it out.
But then they will fall in the Superbowl to Carson Palmer and the mighty Cincinnati Bengals lol.
QWERTY - Just, get out. Steelers are dirt.

This year has obviously not been a year for the "goodies" with Saints failing all over the place. Maybe the 'Saints will come marching in' next year.

I don't follow NFL but history seems to be repeating itself and these coincidences are happening a lot.
Look at the NRL, in 2007 Storm won the GF, Geelong won the GF and Melbourne won the soccer. To get the premiership the Storm beat Manly, Brisbane and Parra. The exact same results happened this year.

I haven't been up to date now but still, I want the Pittsburgh Steelers to take it out. Polomalu and Roethlisberger at their best are hard to stop.

Samoa and Jakarta, it happens.

I don't watch boring gridiron. But it's a coincidence. It doesn't confirm anything is certain to happen.
