Anybody else have the same problem with McAfee?

As my anti-virus protection, I have McAfee through Comcast. Whenever it performs a scan, it takes forever. This wouldn't bother me much, but this slows my computer down until the scan is complete. This makes internet usage a pain in the butt. Does anyone have similar problems? Could it just be my computer?

    No, it's not your computer. I had McAfee but I didn't renew it or purchase it again when it expired. I was told there was a way to program McAfee to scan at a particular time but I never figured it out.

    I now use AVG free and like it very much--I programed it to scan my computer at 3:00 a.m. when I'm never on line.

    I'm told Norton is also good, but one has to pay for it just like McAfee. Good luck.

    mcafee is undesirable anti-virus you should use AVG unfastened i took 2 computers and placed mcafee on one and placed AVG unfastened one the different one then took a virulent disease that i had and placed it on the two the computing gadget with mcafee didnt locate something and the computing gadget with AVG unfastened got here upon it and deleted it wish this facilitates
