How and where do I put on this Captain's patch?

My son just got a USA football Captain's patch. Is it sewn on or is it an iron on? This thing came with no instructions. I'm not even sure where it belongs on the jersey.

    I'm guessing it needs to be sewn on

    The captain's patches are worn between the center of chest (NFL Logo) and the right shoulder pad.

    So if you're looking at your son's jersey from the front it should be sewn on on the left hand side but out of the way of the front shoulder pads

    Have him ask the coach. Different teams, different ideas.

    Try to iron it on in the suggested place.

    If it doesn't stick, sew it.
