Orthodox isn't a term we use to describe ourselves anymore. There was a schism among Quakers many years ago into Orthodox and Hicksite. Orthodox Quakers split again into today's Conservative and Evangelical Friends. The Hicksites are today's Liberal Friends.
Neither Conservative nor Liberal here refers to politics, only to a theological approach. There are people of all political bents within each branch of Quakerism. In other words, it is possible to be a Conservative Quaker who is politically liberal, or a Liberal Quaker who is politically conservative.

orthodox refers to old-school wanting to keep things the same in the religion.
liberal refers to political leanings. two different things.
It's possible to be religiously orthodox and politically liberal.
